Making a Studded Belt, or Reparing an old one

Heres a quick how to on making a
Studded Belt
or reparing or jazzing up and old one.

Materials:

An Old Belt
You can get belts at the thrift store or goodwill for around 99cents. Or grab the old belt you want to repair or jazz up.

Brads
You can find them at a craft store, they come in all kinds of shapes and colors. I found mine at target.

Collar Turner or Hammer and Nail or Scissors
Youll use this to poke holes. You can get a collar turner at any fabric store, it looks like the white tool above. Or a hammer and nail works to. You could also use scissors if your careful.

Fabric Squares
A 1 inch by 1 inch square for each brad/studd you want to put on your belt. You can just use old fabric laying around.

Glue
Super glue or tacky glue works best.
Once you have your belt you need to mark where you want to put your Brads.
To repair an old belt, youll just mark where the old studs were like in the belt in the photo.
Then youll need to poke a small hole in each mark, we used a collar turner, you can also use a hammer and nail, or scissors, or something sharp to poke the hole. Be carefull when doing this.
Then youll take your brads, stick them through the holes.
Then fold the back piece of the brad over so it stays in.
Once all your brads are in, glue a fabric square over the back of the brads to keeps it secure.
And there you go, a new studded belt, or a repaired old one.
