The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay

This Game Rocks...
The game is a prequel to the movie Pitch Black, which was a sequel to The Chronicles of Riddick, recently released. You live out the story of how Riddick escaped from the prison, Butcher Bay, where
he gained his ability to see in the dark.
At first, I thought I would hate this game, I was told, and read from numerous
sources that it was short and that there were not many weapons to choose from. Now all that is true, but for the sake of the game it seemed far better because
of that.I know you're thinking I'm crazy, but I can remember numerous games I've played
that added extra levels just to fill time and make the game last longer just to
put on the description "30+ hours of game play". Yes the game is short, but the
story line made it last just as long as it had to.Total playtime including all the times I died was only about 10 hours. Given
the complexities of the levels and the magnitude of how many different ways you
could take. The many choices of stealth or brute force, it does have many more
hours of potential.Graphically it's amazing stemming from the details normally overlooked. A good
example is when I accidentally zoomed in on a light and there were flies around
them (yes if you play it and zoom in on the lights those little black dots are
actually flies flying around). The game uses a new engine making the graphics
and the shadows amazing. My favorite detail was the graphite on the walls. The AI was intelligent and
quite relentless at times. I also loved way the color changes when you enter stealth
mode if you are in a dark spot. The abilities range from stealth mode; which engages
your ability to hear and see things beyond normal human abilities, and to later
in the game night vision. The combat was very sharp. All around the game was awesome
and you have many combinations of the environment, action, and my beloved stealth
mode. The only regret that I have about the game is that there is no Multiplayer but
overall I loved it.
